Learning Goals

Students develop visual direction options for their Digital Collection Interface by systematically exploring color, typography, and texture combinations, building skills in comprehensive brand system thinking and layout techniques.

Instructions

Create a Visual Direction document in Figma that explores 3 distinct different visual approaches for your Digital Collection Items and Interface designs that Includes:

    • 5 color swatches - primary palette for this direction
    • 2-3 typography samples - Title, headline, subheader, body, and caption text demonstrations
    • 3-5 texture/image samples - visual treatment approach

      Goal: This document should directly inform your designs and/or visual treatment of the images for your Digital Collection Interface. 
      Consider: What visual approach best represents your collection aesthetic and target audience?

      Successful Completion Rubric

      • Three distinct visual directions each with unique personality and approach
      • Complete element exploration includes color, typography, and texture for each direction
      • Technical proficiency shows Figma grid usage and layout skills
      • Professional presentation with clear organization and proper file organization
